These Terms explain the use of Pixelated.org and its content, including permissions for reusing images. Pixelated.org is operated from Melbourne, Australia, and shares personal growth and wellbeing information for a general audience.
Disclaimer
Content on Pixelated.org is provided for general information and inspiration. It may include personal experiences, opinions and discussion of research. It does not provide individual medical, psychological, financial, legal or other professional advice, and is not a substitute for professional assessment, diagnosis, treatment, therapy or counselling.
We aim to keep information accurate and current, but do not guarantee that all content is complete, up to date or suitable for your circumstances. Use your own judgement when considering ideas shared on the site and seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional where needed. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you have read on Pixelated.org.
To the extent permitted by law, Pixelated.org and its contributors exclude liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on the site’s general information. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.
Use of Site Content
You are welcome to read our content and share links to our pages. Unless otherwise stated, copyright in article text and other original site content belongs to its respective rights holders. The image licence described below does not automatically apply to article text, the site logo, branding or other material.
If you would like to republish an article or a substantial part of one, please contact us for permission unless your use is otherwise permitted by law or an applicable licence. Nothing in these Terms limits uses permitted under applicable copyright exceptions.
Use of Images
Images featured on Pixelated.org are generally created, edited or selected for illustrative purposes. Many are created by us using Midjourney, an AI image generation tool, and then further edited before publication. These edits may include cropping, colour correction, retouching, compositing or other finishing work.
Unless otherwise indicated, images accompanying our content are used for illustration and visual storytelling and should not be taken as documentary evidence of actual people, places or events.
Images created by or for Pixelated.org and credited to Pixelated.org or identified as created with Midjourney are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, unless otherwise stated. This licence applies only to the extent that Pixelated.org holds copyright or other rights that it is authorised to license.
CC BY 4.0 allows you to copy, share and adapt eligible images in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, subject to the licence conditions. When sharing an image or an adaptation, you must:
- Give appropriate credit to the creator or attribution name supplied with the image.
- Retain supplied copyright and licence notices and link to the original image or page where reasonably practicable.
- Identify the CC BY 4.0 licence and provide its text or a link to it.
- Indicate if you have modified the image and retain any supplied indication of previous modifications.
Attribution may be provided in a manner appropriate to the medium. For printed material, written credit and relevant URLs can be used. Your attribution must not suggest that Pixelated.org or the image’s creator endorses you or your use. You must not impose additional legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights the licence grants.
The site logo, third-party images, stock images and book covers are not included in this image licence. They remain subject to the rights and permissions of their respective owners. The licence does not clear third-party rights, such as trade mark, privacy or publicity rights, that may affect a particular use.
If you are unsure whether an image is covered, please contact us before reusing it.
Higher Resolution Images
Images included in posts are typically uploaded at 1200 x 630 pixels. Higher resolution versions of eligible images may be available on request, generally up to 3072 x 1536 pixels. Availability and dimensions vary by image.
Please contact us with details of the image and your requirements, including its intended use, so we can try to provide a suitable file. Requesting a higher resolution file is optional; prior approval is not required for uses already permitted by the applicable licence.
External Links and Affiliate Purchases
Pixelated.org may link to external websites for further information or related resources. We do not control their content, availability or practices. Your use of those websites is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Amazon affiliate links appear only in our Good Reads section, including its book recommendation pages. If you follow one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the site, our practices or applicable requirements. Revised Terms will be published on this page with an updated date and will apply to use of the site from that date, subject to applicable law.
Updates do not revoke permissions already granted under CC BY 4.0 to users who comply with that licence. Please review this page periodically for the current Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Subject to applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or use of the site are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
